A Rochester native, I have been in the photography business for 25 years. I specialize in photographing people, places & things.
My goal for every shoot is to capture the exact expression that shows the feelings which are happening at that moment. The true reward in which I receive every time I pick up a camera is of a memory that I know I have captured for someone to hold onto for the rest of their life. You can't deny the importance or the feelings that are with you by a single photograph that has personal meaning. To have a visual image that you can imagine in your head, on actual paper, is a memory which will never fade away. With that said, I firmly believe, is my meaning in life.
My schooling includes the Rochester Institute of Technology and The Center For the Media Arts, located in NYC.
My past parttime employment included varies photo related businesses - Gene Berry One Hour Photo, Moto Photo, Fotomat, Lifetouch, Portrait Simple
I have a love for Music Photography. Photographing Live events are always challenging and rewarding because you can never determine what will happen. The expressions, the energy, the lighting are all factors that can really change so drastically, but can also create beautiful images. To view some of those images , click onto my 'Harmony' and 'Little Ditty' pages. I have been honored to have my work appear on VH-1's 'Behind the Music' series & the CMT's 'Inside Fame' series, both featuring John Mellencamp. On the 2016 VOGUE website, my work is featured of a Kendall Jenner/Vogue dinner party & a Black Eyed Pea's after party. In Kris Allen's 2017 Calendar, one of my photographs is used for the month of March.
We think we remember the growth of our children, and we do remember the high spots, the triumphs and minor tragedies. But how much we miss with the camera of our memory. For the life of a child is a kaleidoscope of changing moods, aptitudes, activities, and developing personality and physical growth. Photographs help us capture these facets to enjoy ourselves and to pass on to our children and our children's children. But we must realize that the pictures we can laugh or sigh over tomorrow, we have to take today.
In my years of Photography I have seen children grow right before my eyes - I have seen a little dancer turn into a high school senior, and now a bride, all through the lens. Time goes by extremely fast, times you shouldn't miss on film. The expressions, the innocence, and the moods all change as they grow.
I was honored to have one of my Children Portraits selected as best photo through Portrait Simple and to grace the cover of 'Parents and Kids' magazine. That photo can be seen in my 'Children' Gallery (girl w/ curly hair, holding flower) That same photo was voted #6 in VH-1's The Shot contest. Locally, another photograph was voted 2nd place and placed on the inside cover of Rochester The Big Picture Book and a third photograph was awarded 'Kodak's Newspaper Snapshot Award'. Those images can be found in the slideshow and 'Places' Gallery.
